Happy end of December everyone!! šŸ™‚ I love Christmas! And am sad that is over, but excited for a new year, too! Is anyone else a little burnt out on holiday baking? I LOVE to cook, but my gosh, I am sick of it! šŸ™‚ Haha! Let me explain… this was our first year home just us as a little family, and I wanted to do it all! And I did!{Homemade everything, cinnamon rolls, cherry pie {with homemade crust} sugar cookies, pistachio bread, eggnog bread, etc.!}  Needless to say…I did a lot of baking, and ended up throwing away...

Have I ever mentioned how much I Love my Mother in law? Seriously, I won the jackpot. I have ALWAYS heard SO MANY horror stories about bad mother in laws and issues, and I was honestly planning on having to work through some things, but, when I met my husband’s Mom I was so excited! I have been around/in the family for six-ish years and never had any problems. She is absolutely wonderful and my kids adore her {and I do, too!} She is an incredible example, and I really look up to her. Not too mention she raised my husband, which is...

Welcome to week 9 of the 100 mile summer challenge! Only three weeks left! How’s everyone doing? I’d love to hear updates about your progress. It’s been really fun for us so far to share healthy posts with you all and get in better shape running. I know that I’ve seen a huge improvement over the last 9 weeks and I hope you have, too!  In...

I am so stoked to share this with you! This recipe is the first recipe I remember I made and became my own. I have always been interested in cooking, and my Mother, and Grandmother are incredible cooks, and I always hoped some of that came through. They taught me in highschool and my Mom and I came up with this recipe, and it was the first one that only I could make...

Hey all! I’ve joined up with a bunch of other bloggers in a Crazy Ingredient Challenge. Each month, all the bloggers will be given two different ingredients that wouldn’t normally go together and the idea is to make a recipe using both ingredients. It’s a fun way to meet other bloggers and give myself a challenge in the kitchen. This month, the...

// My family has been living in  a little apartment while we are waiting for our house to open up. We have put most of our stuff in storage, including my Bosche mixer. Because I don’t have a mixer, I haven’t been making any bread homemade bread, which is very sad because nothing makes a house a home like some good homemade bread, which is why I...

In honor of Easter, I thought I would make this neat little recipe. I had it once before when the Sunday School teacher at my old church brought them in for an Easter lesson. They taste sort of likeĀ cinnamonĀ rolls, but they have a twist that makes them perfect for an Easter dinner: they are hollow on the inside, just like Christ’s tomb was on Easter morning. Neat, right? So you can make these a couple different ways. I just found this recipeĀ that uses store bought crescent rolls to make them. That would be a lot less work, but...

Once a month our church does a potluck dinner. I love it because I usually get a chance to make something that I haven’t made before or that I haven’t made in awhile. Today though, I decided to do something that I have made many, many times. And I have to say (not to brag or anything) but it was a HUGE hit. I love making bread. There isn’t really anything that compares to the smell and taste of home made bread. My husband loves it, I love, my kids love it. I used to just follow the recipe in Better Homes and Gardens New...
