My little brother got home today. He has been gone for two years serving a mission in Cusco, Peru. I am really sad because “home” is 10 hours away from me, so I will have to wait a little while longer to see him. I am so proud of his willingness to take a two year break from his life to serve the Lord. I decided to publish this post that I’ve been working on today, in honor of his homecoming.
Have you noticed a trend with a lot of bloggers? A lot of them seem to be LDS. That could be due to the fact that many LDS mothers choose to skip the full-time-career path and stay at home, inevitable leading to a little free time when kiddos are at school or taking naps. Or, (and this is more likely) it could be because the LDS church (LDS is short for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), also known as the Mormon church, is awesome (just like all the bloggers!)

My husband and I when we were sealed in the temple |
Just like lots of other awesome bloggers, I am also Mormon. I have been my whole life. I know it’s true, and I know that it is a HUGE reason for my happiness. I really don’t know what I would do without the church. It gives me perspective, guidance, purpose, and direction in my life.
The Mormon church has become quite popular lately. I’m sure that one way or another, you’ve heard of it. Because of all the added interest, and out of a desire to share what we believe with our readers, a bunch of bloggers have gotten together to make this happen.

Here’s how it works
If you have a desire to learn about the church, all you have to do is send me an email with your name and address to
corp8292@gmail.com. I will mail a package to you that contains the testimonies of 30 different bloggers, as well as my own. In that package, there will also be a free copy of the Book of Mormon, which is a book of scripture that the LDS church uses. The book is a testimony of Jesus Christ. It has been called “the keystone” of the LDS church. There is no way to truly understand the teachings of the church without this book, which is why it’s included with the package.
What won’t happen
I will not send you pestering emails asking if you’ve read the book. I will send one follow up email just to make sure that you received the package, but that’s it. I will NOT give your address to anyone. NO ONE. Not even the missionaries (unless you ask me to). No one will come knocking at your door because you asked me for this package. There is no obligation, no cost, nothing. This is just my gift to you, because I love this church. It makes me happy and I want others to be happy, too.
What other bloggers are involved?
Glad you asked. In the package, you will receive the testimonies and favorite scriptures of the 30 original bloggers to start this movement. They are:
I’m really excited about this opportunity that I have to share with my readers my beliefs. Please, don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have about the church or about this package. I will send them out as quickly as I can, always within 30 days. Again, if you want one, just send your name and contact information to
corp8292@gmail.com
If any bloggers are interested in participating in this program, contact me and I’ll get you the info!
