There is so much pressure to give your husband/significant other an awesome gift on Valentine’s Day. I am all for expressing love, but really, is it necessary to spend tons of money on a gift to express that love? Does buying THINGS really express love anyway? I feel like there are better ways to express love than buying a gift. Not that buying gifts are bad if they are thoughtful gifts given in love, but I really think that Valentine’s Day gift giving is just a little over rated. Also it’s late at night when I’m...

Every year, my church picks a new theme for the youth program. It is always a scripture. The theme is used to help plan special activities like Girl’s Camp. Last year, I made a poster of the theme, along with a poster of the Young Women Motto.  I decided to make one this year as well. I absolutely love the 2014 theme. It reads: “Come unto Christ and be perfected in Him and deny yourself of all ungodliness” Moroni 10:32 Love it. How powerful is that scripture?  Anyway, here is the poster. I am working on...

I love Thanksgiving. It has evolved into such a great holiday. I love being able to take a day and really think about all the wonderful things and people and memories that the year has brought. I thought I’d share a quick printable with you all. It is a line from one of my favorite songs, “Count Your Blessings.”  Click the link under the picture to download. Hey all! Today marks the first day of the last week of the 100 mile summer challenge. When I first started this challenge, I had ran a total of 15 miles and my fastest mile was about a 12 minute mile. I would go on about a 2 mile run and I would be EXHAUSTED by the time I was done. (don’t get me wrong, 2 miles is a long ways). Now, I can consistently run a 10 minute mile, and I try to go on one run each week that is more than 5 miles. The rest of my runs are between 2 and 3 miles. I have made HUGE improvements. I have to be honest,...
