What My Life Is REALLY Like {Through The Eyes Of My 3 Year Old}

Posted on Jan 6 2015 - 1:07pm by Markell

I feel like I do a pretty good job of showing all the high lights of my life. I share all my successes and all the fun things I do with my kids.

I try hard to show the REAL picture. I want to inspire people. I want to show them that it is POSSIBLE to feel good, to be productive, to workout, keep a (mostly) clean house, whatever it is that they WANT to do, it’s possible.

But it’s hard to show an accurate picture of that without staging things too much. I’d been thinking for awhile of HOW to do it.

Then I found a memory card with pictures on it that I didn’t remember taking. It took me a little while to realize that they are pictures that my 3 year old son took. These are raw, unedited, and REAL life. This is my house on a daily basis. This is reality.

Yes, I make time to workout every day. Yes, I try hard to be productive and be a good mom/wife.

But this. THIS is the true story.

I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Sitting by the fire, probably hoping with all my might that THIS time, it will stay lit.

Messy house, and what my 3 year old looks at all day!

My garden that produced exactly 3 pea pods, 1 squash, and one molded tomato.

My 2 year old who puts coats on when she’s cold but refuses to wear pants

A tired husband after a long day of work

My messy pantry with *gasp* processed foods

I hope these pictures give you a little glimpse into what life is like at my house. It’s just. like. yours. We go through struggles each day, we lay around and do nothing for hours on end, and we eat some thing straight from the can. But we love. And we live. And we are happy. Just. Like. You.

    This post makes me happy. Thanks for sharing! I can only see 6 of the pictures, but that is probably just my phone being weird.
