I don’t know why I call these Christmas Caramels. For some reason I associate home made caramels with Christmas. Maybe it’s because they make an AWESOME gift to give to neighbors during the holidays. Maybe it’s just because they are as amazing as Christmas. I don’t know. Whatever the reason, these things are seriously THE BOMB. I ate like six this morning. For breakfast. (don’t judge.) So my friend, Sarah, who owns The Vinyl Company, an awesome etsy shop with super cute vinyl products, makes these...

I have to preface this post by saying, I sew, but I am not great at it, I am learning, but I say that to let you people like me out there know that this is a super simple sewing project. Doesn’t take long, gets you using a sewing machine, but nothing TOO tricky, and even for the beginner sewers, this is a simple and fun little project. I have made a bunch of these for friends and family as teething necklaces, but my little lady is 18 months {and not teething} And she still loves her, plus, the satin is just lovely, so it can be...
I absolutely LOVE making bows and headbands. I love my little boy love love love, but when I found out I was having a girl, I got down to business! Luckily my friend Haley had a baby girl four months before me and taught me all she knew, we would have girls nights almost monthly and just make bows for hours and hours I have decided to share with you my wealth of knowledge {ha!} at making bows so you, too, can have girls nights and make some pretty little headbands and bows I will be doing a new headband or bow tutorial fairly...
I am dedicating this recipe to my Mother. I am not a huge fan of lasagne because my Mother always made us Talarino. It isn’t quite as time consuming, has more veggies, and! Can be frozen for later! I love that my Mother taught me to try a lot of different kinds of foods, and for helping me to love fruits and veggies. This dish comes to together so quickly, and hides the veggies just right within the noodles and cheese, so they won’t even know they’re in there! Let me know what you think! Enjoy! I am so stoked to share this with you! This recipe is the first recipe I remember I made and became my own. I have always been interested in cooking, and my Mother, and Grandmother are incredible cooks, and I always hoped some of that came through. They taught me in highschool and my Mom and I came up with this recipe, and it was the first one that only I could make...
// My family has been living in a little apartment while we are waiting for our house to open up. We have put most of our stuff in storage, including my Bosche mixer. Because I don’t have a mixer, I haven’t been making any bread homemade bread, which is very sad because nothing makes a house a home like some good homemade bread, which is why I...
My mother in law always gets compliments on her delicious potato salad. People say that they hate potato salad, but that they love her recipe. I figured that I better post that one up here, since I am focusing on family recipes. She made it for my kid’s birthday party. It was a huge hit. Great for parties, potlucks, or at home dinners. It’s pretty...
Okay, I am going to get a little nostalgic for a minute Did anyone else grow up watching Mr.Rogers Neighborhood? I LOVED that show. I don’t know why, but I would so look forward to getting to watch it on PBS. My little guy loves PBS and there is a new show created by the “Mr.Rogers Foundation” called Daniel Tigers Neighborhood. It’s SO cute!...
This is another recipe given to me by a reader. It, like all the food I make, was delicious. (Okay, maybe this blog thing is going to my head). The same lady who gave me the recipe for Oatmeal Applesauce Cookies. I made this on a night that my husband went camping, because he hates lasagna (his loss.) This recipe was easy (thus the name), and I will definitely be making it again… next time he’s gone… Here is what you need to make Easy Lasagna 1/2 lb hamburgerItalian seasoning1 can spaghetti sauce (If you don’t...
