I know, this post is a little bit boring, stay with me k? One of my bestest friends in the world, Haley, taught me all I know about bows. Seriously, I was SO lost. I didn’t know what you needed to have, I don’t think I owned glue gun, and wrapping ribbon into something cute was SO confusing to me. Luckily, Haley is a pro and willing to share her skills. Thanks Haley!! This was one of the first things she taught me, just how to wrap a basic alligator clip. This works well for the one or two pronged clips. I like to get my...

I have to preface this post by saying, I sew, but I am not great at it, I am learning, but I say that to let you people like me out there know that this is a super simple sewing project. Doesn’t take long, gets you using a sewing machine, but nothing TOO tricky, and even for the beginner sewers, this is a simple and fun little project. I have made a bunch of these for friends and family as teething necklaces, but my little lady is 18 months {and not teething} And she still loves her, plus, the satin is just lovely, so it can be...
My sisters and I all share baby clothes. We have tons of tubs of baby clothes that we pass around to whoever happens to have a baby at the time. There is a tub for 0-3 month boys clothes, 3-6 month boys clothes, 6-12 month boys clothes, etc. The same goes for girls (although I think there may be more than one of each size for the girls… why do girls...
I’ve just started teaching my little guy the ABCs. I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for a cute ABC poster to hang in his room. During my quest to find one, I thought about how cute it would be to have the phonetic military alphabet hanging in his room. My husband, although he hasn’t ever served, is an avid supporter of all armed forces. Both of...
I love my little girl. I want big things for her. Strike that, I want huge things for her. I want her to fill every measure of her creation. I want her to know how beautiful she is. I want her to know how much I love her. I want her to learn how to be a well rounded person. I want her to learn that she can do hard things. I want her to be a strong, independent girl. More than anything, I want her to know she is a daughter of God. I want her to understand that she has a divine destiny that no one else can fill except her. I want her to...
I just finished my first ever quilt. It is a gift for my sister in law, who is expecting a baby any day now. I found this pattern here from Curly Top Quilts. It was designed by Curly Top Quilts and the pattern is for sale on her etsy shop for just $3. Check out her blog here. The pattern was simple and easy to read and I think it was a perfect first quilt. The pattern uses pink as the bright color, but I decided to use yellow. I used heat n bond to make the applique easier. And, I used the back fabric as binding to make things even...
In high school, I was really good friends with a girl named Felica (pronounced fa-lee-sha). She even lived with me for awhile. Super good friends. We had lots of fun times. We were on the yearbook staff together, developed pictures all the time, played volleyball together, even “started” a photography business that we named FAME Photography (FAME stood for Felica, Ashley, Markell Enterprises… I think.. I’m not sure about the E). Ashley was another girl we were good friends with. We had lots of good times. Anyway,...
