We have made a goal to pay off all of our student loans in two and a half years. We currently have a little over $40,000 in loans. When we first started looking at that number and how we would possibly be able to pay it off in 2.5 years, we were EXTREMELY overwhelmed and pretty sure it was impossible. BUT. We want those loans paid off before we buy a house. We want to be completely out of debt before we add mountains of debt from a mortgage. So, we started looking at numbers and doing some math. Right now, my husband makes a little less...

Here’s the thing.  I’m on a diet.  But obviously you guys are not.  I was trying to find a theme to the last week’s roundup and all I could figure out was that a lot of people really like desserts right now. So a dessert roundup it shall be. You guys are super mean, btw.  Mini German Chocolate Cakes by Flavors by Four Krispy Confetti Eggs by BitznGiggles Lemon Drop Shake by The First Year Blog Gooey Oatmeal Cranberry Bars by I Want Crazy M&M Cookie Bars by Our Table For...

Once in awhile, when I make a recipe, I get a fantastic idea for a different recipe that is similar but also completely different. A little while ago, I was making Traci’s Bacon and Cream Cheese Appetizers and I had the brilliant idea to make these Cinnamon Bites. Which made me think… what else could be made that is similar to these recipes? I think the possibilities are ENDLESS!  Anyway, these turned out AMAZING. Huge hit. Literally gone in seconds. They didn’t look super pretty, but who cares, right?...

Every other week, I try and do a roundup of some of my favorite posts from the previous two link parties. I usually look for a theme and feature posts that fit that theme. It’s no surprise that with Spring and Easter coming up, there were many posts that focused on those topics. Here are a few of my favorites!         A few days ago, my husband and I realized we had a ward party that night and we had nothing to take to it! It was a finger food party, so we wanted to whip something up that would be delicious, but we really didn’t want to go to the store. So we did a quick inventory of the ingredients we had on hand, and we came up with idea to do chicken cordon bleu bites. I was very excited with the way they turned out.  I was also excited about how easy it was to make. It didn’t take us long at all to make...

It’s been a little while since I talked about cloth diapers. I did a series on it awhile ago. I know that cloth diapering is really popular right now for many reasons. Some switch to cloth because it’s cute, some because it’s economical, and other because it’s cheap. I personally started because it’s cheaper than using disposable diapers. I was looking for a way to save money. However, like many other people who cloth diaper, I got sucked into all the cute prints and different types of cloth diapers that...

Hey guys! I’ve talked a little bit about my journey to become healthier and to help others become healthier as well. I am in the middle of co-coaching my first fitness challenge group and I am working on starting my first 10 day clean eating challenge group. I wanted to give an open invitation to anyone who reads my blog to join in on this 10 day clean eating challenge group. It’s completely free, there is nothing that you need to purchase what so ever. The only requirement is that you sign up for a FREE Beachbody Club...

Recently, a tragedy happened. Two LDS missionaries, a brother and sister, who were serving separate missions, learned that their parents and two siblings that were waiting for them at home had died. I can’t imagine what these two young missionaries were thinking when they heard this news, and I’m not going to try and say that I have any idea of how they are feeling. This tragic event has lead me to think a lot about the after life and how grateful I am for the gospel. Because of my belief is Jesus Christ and because of the...
