Recipe #17: Easy Pulled Pork (or beef)

This recipe is my husband’s baby. He is always the one who makes this. Every time we get a big group together, this is the recipe that we use. It’s super easy to feed TONS of people with it, and everyone loves it. Plus, there is hardly any work that needs to be done.

For this recipe, you need a pork shoulder roast (or beef), a crock pot, bbq sauce, a rootbeer (Andre will only use Henry’s) and garlic salt.

Rub the garlic salt over your pork. Place it in the crock pot and pour in some rootbeer. Andre usually takes a little drink off the top and pours in the rest of the bottle.

Let the pork cook on high for 6 hours or so. Check it every once in awhile and break it up when you can. About an hour before you want to serve it, drain out the root beer. Pour in BBQ sauce. Make sure you saturate all the meat with the sauce. It’ll take two or three bottles usually.

That’s it! Serve with hamburger buns and cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
