I made this tutorial specially for some fellow LDSers that are preparing to go on a trek this summer. For those of you that don’t know, what we Mormons call a “trek” is a reenactment of the early Mormon pioneers. They came across the country with wagons. Some of them were lucky enough to have wagons that were pulled by oxen, but there were many who came pulling hand carts. The youth in our church reenact that trek by dressing the way they did, giving up many worldly things (cell phones, mp3 players, etc) and going on...

In honor of Easter, I thought I would make this neat little recipe. I had it once before when the Sunday School teacher at my old church brought them in for an Easter lesson. They taste sort of like cinnamon rolls, but they have a twist that makes them perfect for an Easter dinner: they are hollow on the inside, just like Christ’s tomb was on Easter morning. Neat, right? So you can make these a couple different ways. I just found this recipe that uses store bought crescent rolls to make them. That would be a lot less work, but...

Each Fast Sunday (the first Sunday of each month), I plan on writing a spiritual post. There are a few other bloggers that also do this that I will link to from time to time. I believe that I have an obligation to share my religious views with others. They bring me so much joy and purpose in my life, and I wish for everyone else to feel that joy and to be able to know the purpose of their lives. Before I begin, let me just say that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am only a member. While what I say,...

My little brother got home today. He has been gone for two years serving a mission in Cusco, Peru. I am really sad because “home” is 10 hours away from me, so I will have to wait a little while longer to see him. I am so proud of his willingness to take a two year break from his life to serve the Lord. I decided to publish this post that I’ve been working on today, in honor of his homecoming.   Have you noticed a trend with a lot of bloggers? A lot of them seem to be LDS. That could be due to the...

I teach the young women group in my church, and this month our lessons are focusing on the plan of salvation, which is Heavenly Father’s master plan for us. Because we are talking about it all month, I wanted a visual for the girls to look at, one that would help them remember how it all goes. I couldn’t find one I really liked, so I created this one, and I thought it might be helpful to others too. It prints two on a page and you can download it for free here. Leave a comment or pin it or something if you use it! If you...

I had a request for bookmarks of the theme poster that I made. So, I made them. Here they are:click here for the while ones and here for the pink. These, just like everything else I ever make that is church related, are free. However, I would love it if you would do me a favor and share them some how. Pin them or share them on Facebook or Twitter or something. I want to get these to as many people as possible. They are about 2.5 inches wide and 8 inches long. While you’re here, check out the recipes I’ve been making....

**Update 5/2/2013 I can’t believe that for three months I had two huge spelling mistakes in one of these printables. I am so sorry about that! Please forgive me. I have fixed it though. Please let me know if you notice any mistakes in the future. In my church, I have the job of leading a youth group for teenage girls. The other leader and I recently wanted to change up our room. We needed to have the motto and theme for the year posted some where in our room, but we didn’t really like anything that we found. So, I designed...
