One thing I love about blogging is the fact that I get to learn SO much. There is so, so much information available to make your blog better. I seriously could spend hours looking through all of it and using good tips I find to make my blog better.
One thing that I’ve heard a lot about since I started blogging is blogging conferences. A blogging conference is basically a place where you can go and listen to people who know a lot about blogging talk about how they learned what they know. It is a place to meet other bloggers and build your brand. It is a time to learn and grow and stretch yourself and your blog.
I always figured that a blog conference would be out of the question for me. I’m not going to leave my kids for three days to go to a blog conference. I don’t have the time or the money, and frankly, my kids are a LOT more important to me than my blog. I really like the idea of going to one, but they are all so far away from me (I’ve seen some in Utah, Texas, even some as close as Portland, but no one is going to come to little no where Oregon and hold a blogging conference.) I am not willing to travel, pay for the conference itself, be away from my family for a weekend, blah blah blah, all for the sake of a website. It’s just not worth it to me.
But, guess what! I found one that is entirely online. That means that I can stay home, not travel or pay for a hotel room, be with my kids, and still learn lots of awesome stuff about blogging! I’m talking about The Blog Workshop. The conference is May 17-19th, but all participants will have access to the workshops for a year.
I am so excited that I am going to get an opportunity to attend this conference. Let me tell you a little about it and why I’m so excited.
Besides the fact that it’s going to be MUCH cheaper than an actual blog conference (no travel, plus the tickets are pretty cheap, considering what I’ll be getting), I am also really excited because, like I said before, I will get the chance to watch all the presentations whenever I want for the next year. So, even if something comes up the day of the conference, I can still have access to anything I missed later.

I really think this is going to be an awesome way to get my blog rockin’ and rollin’. I’ve seen huge growth in the almost three months that I’ve been blogging. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
