So, we rent our house. I love that we don’t have to worry about so many things that home owners have to worry about, but I hate that I don’t have the freedom to do everything I want here. We got a really good deal on the rent, but part of the reason is because a few of the bedrooms SERIOUSLY need updating. Like… carpet that isn’t even tacked down. And there are like five different segments of carpet in each room. Literally just scraps of carpet that someone pieced together and called it good. In one of the rooms, the carpet wasn’t big enough to cover the whole floors, so where the carpet ends you can see a little linoleum, followed by two pieces of pergo hardwood floor, and six pieces of tile. I’m. Not. Kidding.
Anyway. Enough complaining.
My kids share one of the bedrooms so that they can have a play room (best idea ever, by the way.) So, in their room, they have beds. and stuffed animals. and that’s it. It makes it much easier for them to sleep at night with absolutely no distractions. But, their room is super boring. So, I decided to jazz it up a bit with a polka dot wall.
I think it’s fun anyway.
So, how did I do it?
Easy. And cheap! I used my silhouette machine and some adhesive card stock I got from the silhouette store. It sells for just $12.99, and I didn’t even use a whole pack.
I just cut two different size circles and hung them on the wall. Easy peasy.
However… I would like to say that this stood up to the toddler test… it didn’t…
It took this little girl all of ten minutes to decide we didn’t really need the bottom two rows of polka dots. All the ones she couldn’t reach are holding strong though!
