This first review that I am doing is on a product that I personally think is very neat. It is called Pedi-Protexx. This product is made right here in the good ol’ US of A which gives it extra points right off the bat. I am all for any product that is made in this country.
These were invented by Barbara von Mettenheim. She is a lady that was fed up with smudged pedicures, so she decided to do something about it.
The main function of pedi-protexx is to “protexx” your pedicure. It is really a genius idea. These nifty pieces of plastic attach to the bottom of your normal flip flop after a pedicure to ensure that you don’t mess up your freshly polished nails.
I have to admit, when I first saw this product, I thought they were a little silly. But sillier than the stupid flip flops they give you at the nail salon? Probably not. And they work! You can drive, walk, run into walls, jump up and down and your toe nails will not get smudged. How awesome is that? No more waiting for the paint to dry.
For me, this is an awesome product to use at home. I am a busy lady and if I ever do get lucky enough to find the time to paint my toe nails, there is no way that I am going to be able to sit and let them dry. Thanks to Pedi-Protexx, I don’t have to. I can paint my toe nails, slip on the Pedi-Protexx, and not even miss a beat.
I don’t think I would actually take them to a salon to use for a few reasons. The main one is that they are a little big. They wouldn’t be very easy to put into a small purse. If you are one of those ladies that carries around a large purse, then they would fit just fine.
I think that on a special day, such as a wedding day, these would be amazing to have. Yes, they may look a little funny, but so does smudged polish. All in all, I think it’s a pretty good product, and I am glad that I have them.
