Hey all! Merry Christmas! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day today. I know I am. This time of year is my favorite. I love that we get to take a break from the every day and be grateful for all we’ve been given. This time of year is a time when I (and I’m sure many of you) like to focus on the Savior and what He did for me. The sacrifices he made are unfathomable to me. It is amazing that He loved each of us so much that He was willing to give everything for us. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father’s plan and...

A few weeks ago, I shared a poster of the 2014 LDS Mutual Theme with you all. I promised bookmarks and handouts. I finally have the bookmarks finished. The handouts will have to be saved for another post. I hope you enjoy these bookmarks! It’s a great way for the youth to see the theme without having a huge poster hung in their room. I left the top blank so you can either shorten the bookmarks if you’d like them to be smaller, or leave them full size. Click here to download Share ...
I have been thinking about this post for a bit, and have really felt like it is something I would like to share I really enjoyed Markell’s Keeping Christ in Christmas Post, and this will go along with it quite well This is the first year since my husband and I have been married that we will not be with our parents/siblings for Christmas. We have been married 5 years {Friday!} and although I am really bummed not to be with family, I am super excited to start some traditions. We don’t have too many, but a few that are kind...
Every year, my church picks a new theme for the youth program. It is always a scripture. The theme is used to help plan special activities like Girl’s Camp. Last year, I made a poster of the theme, along with a poster of the Young Women Motto. I decided to make one this year as well. I absolutely love the 2014 theme. It reads: “Come unto Christ and be perfected in Him and deny yourself of all ungodliness” Moroni 10:32 Love it. How powerful is that scripture? Anyway, here is the poster. I am working on...
Hey all! I like to try and start off each month by sharing a spiritual message of some sort. As many of you may know, I am LDS (mormon). One of the biggest reasons I like to blog is to have an opportunity (when it arises) to share my testimony with others. During the Christmas season, it seems like that opportunity comes up more often. It can be super super hard to remember the reason for the season. Having just got back from some Black Friday shopping, I can attest to this fact. Christmas is often more about the gifts than about...
I had been thinking about this post for a while, after I read a talk by Dieter F. Uchtdorf entitled “One Key To a Happy Family”. If you haven’t read it before, it is really amazing. All of his talks are amazing. But what drew me in initially was just the fact that there is one key thing we can develop in ourselves and our children to have a happy family, and that is forgiveness. I have been blessed with incredible families on both sides, and can honestly say, I love them with all my heart, and trust them with all of my...
This month, we are doing a series on strengthening families. 31 days to a closer family is what the series is called. During this month, I have been reflecting on what it is that makes a family strong. What makes my family strong? What makes my husband’s family strong? What makes OUR family strong? I know that there are a few key things that bring us together. Forgive me for speaking boldly. I know that some people don’t like it, but I feel like I have no other choice. I must tell others what I believe, because I believe...
During the month of October, Traci and I are publishing a post everyday that has something to do with families. Since today is Sunday, I wanted to focus a little on my religious beliefs and what they have to do with families. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about the church. If you would like to receive a Book of Mormon, free of charge, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of this post and I’ll get it sent out to you right away. I have made no secret that I am a member of the Church of Jesus...
I realized the other day that I hadn’t really introduced myself super well before I wrote my first Sunday post. This post will be a bit short, and sweet. But I hope to explain a bit of my beliefs to you as best I can. Please note, that I am not very eloquent in speaking, obviously But I hope to share some of the sweet truths I believe. {You can check out this video for a short introduction to what We Believe} First, I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and has a purpose for me, and sent me here to become like Him....
Source My son just turned three, and is WAY into superheroes. It’s a lot of fun, and I love zooming around the room with him saving the world. But at the same time, I really want him to have real heroes to look up to in his life, you know what I mean? I am so lucky to have married a wonderful man who I know is my Son’s ultimate hero and man he looks up...
