Oil Of The Month: Lavender

Posted on Mar 3 2014 - 7:00am by Markell Corpus

Are you signed up for the Oil Of The Month club by Spark Naturals? I absolutely love it. It’s a great way for me to try new oils and stock up on the ones I use a lot for a cheaper price than if I were to buy them outright. The oil of the month club is $15.99/month and it includes shipping. Each month, a different oil will be sent to you. You can cancel at any time, but why would you want to? I have discovered some oils that I love through the oil of the month club.

For the month of March, the oil is Lavender. Lavender is one of my all time favorite oils. I thought I’d do a little post about Lavender and all it’s awesome benefits.

That is a LONG list. Remember that it won’t work for everybody for all of these things. Everyone’s body chemistry is a little different and everyone will respond to it in a different way. If you are even in doubt about what oil you should use, you are almost always okay using Lavender. I use it all the time.

I used it to make Monster Repellent for my kids and shared a post on that a little while ago. My kids love it when I put a little in their bath water. It is a calming oil to diffuse. One of the times I was most grateful for it is when I had an earache. I put a drop of lavender behind my ear every two or three hours and the pain would immediately go away. It is such a handy oil to have on hand.

One word of caution. If you’re using this oil on your children, just like any other oil, be sure to dilute it. Oils can be so strong and their little bodies don’t need as much as an adult body to get the same results. Just put a drop of the oil in a tablespoon or so of carrier oil and you should see results for your kids. It really doesn’t take much.

Remember that I am NOT a doctor. I do a lot of research and share the information I find with you. If you need to see a doctor GO SEE A DOCTOR.
