Birch Essential Oil

One oil that has become a favorite of mine lately is Birch. It’s a pretty strong oil and is actually the only one I own that came with a child lock, which tells ya something, right? Birch has some amazing properties. It is similar to Wintergreen essential oil in that they both have a cortisone-like quality and can be used to reduce pain, swelling, and discomfort in muscles, bones, and joints.

People with problems such as arthritis, rheumatism, cramps, and tendinitis have been able to find relief using this oil.

Personally, I use this oil mixed in with Camp Wander’s Naked Salve. I made up a jar 4 ounce and put in 15 drops of Amend, 15 drops of Rosemary, and 15 drops of Birch. I use it whenever I have sore muscles. It feels like heaven after a hard workout. For me, it has a cooling effect and lasts for about 20 minutes or so.

One thing about this oil that makes it unique is that it is hard to find a good supply of Birch. Because of that, Spark Natural’s hasn’t been  able to guarantee how long they will have Birch essential oil in stock. I strongly recommend you adding this oil to your oil collection.
