I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Haribo. I received product samples, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. All opinions stated are my own.
Raise your hand if you loved the Smurf’s growing up. I know I did. Something about those blue faces and funny little voices kept me glued to the screen as a child. I love all things smurf (except the smurf turf… but that’s a topic for a different post.. but really, who wants a blue football field?)
Did you know that a new Smurf movie came out in July? I am trying to figure out a way to convince my husband to go see it with me (the guy hates movies…). I know it’s a kids show, but it’s okay to be a kid sometimes, right?
Because of my love of Smurfs, I was excited to see that Haribo, the makes of gummi bears, licorice, and other delicious things, has made gummi Smurfs!
I was happy to see that there was a little color in them (hair and clothes and stuff). These gummis are strawberry and raspberry flavored and taste pretty good. They are pretty good sized, too:
This guy was pretty excited I had the chance to review these
PS The Smurfs and his eyes are the same color. Cool, huh?
Smurfs love to hang out by the pool side
Haribo was founded in 1920. It’s headquarters is in Germany. The name Haribo is an acronym for it’s founder, Hans Riegal and it’s headquarters, Bonn. Learn something new every day, huh!
The only thing I didn’t like about these gummis is that the coloring is off. You can see in some of the picture how the color on the hat bleeds over to the actual Smurf. It makes it hard to tell that it’s a hat or hair or whatever it is that is in color. Although, I’m sure that it is hard to color a gummi Smurf, right?
How fun would it be to take your kids to see the new Smurf movie and surprise them with Smurf shaped snacks? You’d be the best mom (or dad) ever!

This is AWESOME! I am not a gummy candy fan, but I think if I went to see the movie, or even rented it at home I would totally get these! SO fun. i like how they at least TRIED to make Smurfettes hair yellow and the other smurfs hats clear. They probably make a bajillion at a time in a huge machine, unless actual Smurfs live in mushrooms making these, in which case they really need to take a little more pride in their work
I really want to go buy some, not joking.
