Fels Naptha Review & Giveaway

Have you guys heard of Fels Naptha? It’s advertised as a laundry bar, but it has SO many uses. I have personally used it in the past to make homemade laundry soap, but as I was doing research for this review  I found out that it has SO many uses. Some of them are:

• stain remover
• relives itches caused by mosquito bites & poison ivy
• wash tough stuff off hands
• clean tubs
• clean grout
• dear repellent
• rub on tracks to help drawers open smoothly
• prewash
• clean shoes
• whiten your whites
• remove cold sores
• insecticide
• dish soap
• and lots more!

It seems too good to be true that this one bar has so many different uses, but the internet cannot lie, right? 

The best part is that one bar is less than $1.00 to buy. Can’t hardly beat that, right? 

I decided to put the stuff to the test. A little while ago, I ran my first 5k. Okay, I walked it. Anyway, I finished 3.1 miles. And as a reward, I was given a shirt. Since then, said shirt has gotten a stain on it. It’s just a t-shirt, and all of my t-shirts seem to get stains on them at some point. But, because I got this shirt during a really fun race (and my first) I really wanted to get the stain out. Keep in mind that I have washed this shirt multiple times since the stain has happened, and I don’t even know WHAT the stain is. 

So here is the before picture:

First, I tried just rubbing wet soap onto the stains and washing it. I didn’t have any luck at all with that method. So, I decided to try another way. I dissolved a chunk of the soap into about a gallon of hot water. This picture shows how much I used. Although, the entire chunk didn’t dissolve, so I’m sure I could have used less. 

I let the shirt sit in the water over night, then I washed it like normal. Here are the results:

Not too bad, huh? It’s hard to tell in the picture, but most of the stains did come out, and the shirt is for sure whiter. I’m pretty impressed with how well this worked.

My favorite part about these bars is that they are only $1.00. Can’t hardly beat that, right?
