My first post about losing weight was a hit. Read it here. So, I decided to write down five more obvious things I do to lose weight. Because like I said in the first article, losing weight is not magic, it’s science.
Drink Water
Drinking water increases your metabolism so you are able to burn calories faster. Aim for at least eight glasses a day. I know, the first few days you are running to the bathroom every ten minutes, and that’s hard. Don’t worry, it gets easier.
Go Running
Running is probably one of the fastest ways to get in shape. Start slow, with just ten minutes a day or so and work your way up to a 20 or 30 minute run. Don’t forget to stretch afterword to combat sore muscles.
Brush Your Teeth
Hopefully, everyone is already doing this. But, if you are trying to lose weight, brush your teeth after you get done eating. That fresh feeling will help keep you from mindlessly putting more food into your mouth.
Join a challenge group
There are always groups on Facebook that are all about motivating each other to lose weight. Find one, and join it. If you can’t find one, start one. This was the key to my weight loss. It’s hard to do alone. You need some kind of support system.
Eat at Home
When you eat at home instead of at a restaurant, you have more control over your food. You choose your portions and what you have on your plate. Plus, you feel less pressure to finish your food when it’s not $15 dollars a plate.
