Every other week, I’m going to try and do a round up of posts I liked from the last two lovely ladies link ups. I will try and pick a theme each time I do it and feature a few of my favorites. This gives you even MORE exposure from the party so be sure and link up each week! This week, I decided to do a round up of all the great goal setting, organization, & New Years resolution posts that have been linked up the last two weeks. I love how the New Year brings a determined resolution for everyone!    Money Saving Challenge...

Okay friends, everyone knows that January is all about people starting goals to lose weight, right? I have done it a GAZILLION Times, not necessarily just during the new year, but something that has been a little more effective for me, is deciding to change some of my bad habits, into more healthy ones. So, instead of failing for the 90th time on a new diet, I make changes in my diet to be in better shape, and feel better overall! I am not saying that losing weight/dieting is always bad. It just always seems to back fire on me when I...

Hey all! Today marks the first day of the last week of the 100 mile summer challenge. When I first started this challenge, I had ran a total of 15 miles and my fastest mile was about a 12 minute mile. I would go on about a 2 mile run and I would be EXHAUSTED by the time I was done. (don’t get me wrong, 2 miles is a long ways). Now, I can consistently run a 10 minute mile, and I try to go on one run each week that is more than 5 miles. The rest of my runs are between 2 and 3 miles. I have made HUGE improvements. I have to be honest,...

Although summer seems to be pretty much over, we’re not quite done with the 100 mile summer challenge!  Things have been a little crazy here (my little brother just got married! Hey all! Welcome to week 7 of the 100 mile summer challenge! Who’s still with us? How’s it going for everyone? I (Markell) ran 3 miles in 33 minutes last week! Are you guys joining in the running challenge with us? It’s a simple running challenge to get you all off your booties and on to the streets, racking up those miles. If you started when I did, you should be at just around 34 miles, not including today’s run.  I have to admit I’ve had a rough time these last few weeks! If it wasn’t for this challenge, I probably wouldn’t have kept running. I’m very grateful for the support system those completing this challenge have given me! If you are trying to...

If you’re participating in the 100 mile summer challenge, we’ve made it to week 5! You should have run 25.5 miles so far and have 8.5 miles to run this week! If you haven’t started yet, you should! It’s a great way to get into shape and start up a running routine.  I know a LOT of my friends I have asked if they like running and I get the usual. “I am not a runner”. Or “I just HATE running”. I really can empathize with that. I remember when I first got interested in running for...
